Popular activities include going to the local gently sloping beaches. No big surf here, our beaches are safe for children and the elderly to enjoy. In most conditions, visitors will be greeted with very small waves, or flat water.
For the more adventurous, Casa Hey-Sol offers ocean water-skiing excursions in the bay side, sail boarding opportunities when the wind is right, and of course fishing tours! At times Bahia offers waves are perfect for long boarding, but this depends greatly on the time of year. If surfing is on your mind, great waves are available just 15 miles up the coast in the rustic town of Canoa. We can arrange for transportation, surfboard rental and lessons for those new to the sport.
For the ecology minded there are many eco-projects to view or become involved with. Some say this place is ‘for the birds’ and this is true, there are many eco-tours including a trip to the Isla Corazon bird sanctuary. Not far away seasonal whale-watching excursions are waiting for the adventurous.
